Father’s Day Dinner Ideas for Kids
Celebrate dad this Father’s Day with a special dinner—made mostly by the kids! Even though your young child can’t use the stove or other heat source, they can help to make dad’s dinner in other ways. If you’re not sure where to start, check out these easy ideas.
Papa’s Pasta Salad
Cook dad’s favorite pasta shape. Put the pasta in the fridge to cool. After the pasta is chilled, your kiddos can take over. They can mix in a ready-made dressing, add veggies, and sprinkle pepper or another spice on top.
Sandwiches aren’t just for lunch. Ask dad to choose a bread or roll to start the sandwiches. Your child can layer cheese, deli meat, vegetables, and dressing on top of the bread. Serve the sandwiches with a side of pickles and chips! If dad prefers something more substantial, you can cook a batch of meatballs. Your child can spoon the meatballs onto hoagie rolls. Top the meatballs with tomato sauce and let your child add a sprinkle of freshly grated cheese.
Fab Father’s Day Pizzas
The kids can help you to mix the dough ingredients or roll out a ready-made version. They can spoon on sauce, add cheese, and top the pizza with dad’s favorites. Bake the pizza and enjoy the pie during a fun-filled family dinner.
