Make a giant sunflower out of mini “suns.” Bake yellow cake cupcakes and then have the kids help you to frost them. Use a bold yellow icing or mix food coloring in with the plain white version. The kids can get creative, adding yellow sprinkles or yellow crystalized sugar to the top. Arrange the frosted cupcakes in a flower shape.
Rainbow Rose Petals
Make a “rose bouquet” of iced cupcakes in rainbow colors. Drip a drop or two of food coloring into one cup of white frosting. Repeat to create a rainbow of hues.
