National Grandparents Day Memory Game Craft

Create a crafty card game to celebrate National Grandparents Day. This easy art idea is the perfect way for your creative kid to build new skills and so much more. Not only will your child enjoy crafting this cute card game, they’ll absolutely adore playing it with grandma and granppa.
Arts and Crafts Materials You’ll Need
- Card stock paper
- Markers or crayons
- Photos of your children and all of their grandparents- Each person should have a baby picture and a current photo.
- Clear-drying school glue
- Scissors
- A ruler
How-To Steps
- Cut each piece of card stock into equal parts. Use the ruler to make straight lines. Size each card to the dimensions of the photos or cut the pictures to match the cards. Make sure you have enough cards for each pair of baby and current photos.
- Glue one photo to the top of each card. Let the glue dry completely.
- After the glue is dry, turn each card over. Your child can write the date when the photo was taken on the back with a marker or crayon. Encourage your child to get creative. They can draw rainbow numbers and letters or add an imaginative design!
To play the game: Turn the cards over, making only the dates visible. The first player will turn one card to the photo side. They can then pick another card and turn it over. If they don’t match return the cards back to the date side. Try to remember which card was where. Continue playing until one player finds a matched pair of baby and current pictures. The person with the most matches wins.
