Parents’ Day Brunch Ideas
The kids made mom breakfast on Mother’s Day. They made dad dinner on Father’s Day. Now that it’s Parents’ Day, what’s left to do? Okay, so this holiday isn’t exactly a traditional one. It celebrates all parents – as they deserve. Instead of breakfast or dinner, have the kids help to put together a Parents’ Day brunch. How? Check out these easy options that your children can help with on this special day. Keep in mind, Young children should never use the stove, oven or any other heat source. And, you should always supervise children while in the kitchen.
What are your favorite meals or foods? The kids can create a list and combine them into one awesome brunch buffet. Pick three or more foods/meals that the kids can help prep. They can set up a buffet table and create a brunch menu (draw it onto paper with crayons or write it with markers).
Treats for Brunch
Instead of your basic brunch of eggs, bacon, pancakes, salad and maybe a pasta dish or two, swap out the main meals for sweet treats. After all, it is a special day. The kids can help frost cupcakes, decorate cookies or create a make your own sundae buffet.
Beans and Greens
If sweets aren’t for your family, try an all-out veggie-themed brunch. The kids can whip up a few different salads, you can cook some tofu, and you’ve got a healthy brunch table.
