St. Patrick’s Day Baking Ideas for the Whole Family
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a holiday themed treat! Your kids can help you to whip up these cute cupcakes, cookies and more. Share the sweets at a St. Patrick’s Day party, gift your BFF’s and family with the goodies or save for your holiday dinner dessert.
Draw a shamrock shape onto a piece of wax paper. Size the shamrock to make it fit perfectly on the top of a frosted cupcake. Cut the shamrock out. Frost your favorite flavor of cupcakes in white icing. Place the wax paper on top. Spoon green sprinkles onto the top. Remove the wax paper to reveal a green shamrock. Use the shaped cut-out to create an opposite type of negative space design. Place the waxed paper shamrock on frosting, add sprinkles and remove the shape to reveal a holiday design.
Pot of Gold Cookies
Spread some luck to friends and family with these gold coin cookies. Bake a batch of sugar cookies. Let the cookies cool and frost them with yellow icing. Add gold crystal sugar or yellow sprinkles to the top of the cookie coins.
Mix a batch of white cake. Separate the mix into a few different bowls. Drop a few drips of food coloring into each batch. Pour the colorful mixes into individual cake pans and bake. After the cakes cool, layer them into one rainbow masterpiece. Hold the colorful creation together with white frosting. Ice the exterior with a shamrock green hue.
