July Fourth Kids’ Red, White and Blue Art Ideas

Kids can craft a red, white and blue fireworks with card stock paper, glitter and glue. Your child can draw a firework pattern onto dark paper with clear-drying school glue. If your child wants to paint the glue on to the paper, squeeze it onto a paper plate, dip a thin brush or cotton swab into the pool and create a firework pattern. Sprinkle red, white (opal or silver) and blue glitter onto the glue and shake off the excess.
Red, White and Blue Collage
Create a crafty collage with red, white and blue tissue paper. Your child can cut our tear the paper into small pieces and shape. Cover a scrap piece of cardboard in a wash of clear-drying school glue. Press the tissue into the glue to complete the collage.
Patriotic Paint Print
Cover the palm side of your child’s hand in red, white and blue finger or tempera paints. Alternate the colors on each finger, paint their palm blue or let them dot the three hues onto their hand themselves. Press your child’s hand onto a piece of paper to make a patriotic print.
